Question by gerbil lover: what impact did Hindenburg have on science? how has the science surrounding the technology involved in making zeppelins/blimps/planes changed after it caught on fire?

Answer by Muse_fanThey use helium in blimps and balloons now because it is not flammable. The Hindenburg used the solution that was made from and alkaline earth metal combined with water, but I don’t quite remember the name… it started with an “H” and it was very flammable, and that’s why the Hindenburg crashed.
