Question by redbullplease: Is the use of automated speed enforcement using LIDAR technology legal in the state of California? California Veh code (Automated Enforcement Systems: Hearing: Prohibited Use 21455.6 sec. C) via the DMV website (link below) explains the use of photo radar, and that it can not be used.This code does not address the use of LIDAR, thus, can it be used or is Lidar addressed in a different Veh. Code that I have not found?
