PEI Creates Guide for Alternative Fuels Compatibility Equipment
Nov 20th
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) September 28, 2006
The Petroleum Equipment Institute has established a new Alternative Fuels Equipment Compatibility Guide on the PEI web site at www.pei.org/altfuels. The Guide is an ongoing reference, providing the downstream petroleum equipment industry with information about what products, manufactured by PEI members, are compatible with various alternative fuels.
The new Guide focuses on components used in the construction and design of gas stations, truck stops, convenience stores and bulk terminals that deal with alternative fuel blends. Ethanol and biodiesel fuels often require special fuel dispensing equipment because their composition can damage certain alloys and seal materials.
