Question by Jeffrey Cheezan: An atmospheric vessel contains a mixture of 20kg of ice and 100kg of water, How much heat energy to melt ice? how much energy to raise the temperature in vessel to 100 Celcius and how much heat energy will it take to evaporate the contents?
Best answer:
Answer by tastethematUse the formula Q=mc∆T.
You have the mass (m), which is 100kg, convert it into grams. You also have specific heat capacity (c), which is 4.19J/g*C. Finally, you have ∆T, 100*C.
