Green Energy And Its Future In July 2008, Al Gore challenged the U.S. to generate 100% of the electricity we need using clean, renewable, sustainable sources within 10 years. When we connect the dots, he said, it turns out that the actual solutions to the climate crisis are the very same measures needed for renewal our economy and escape the grip of ever-rising energy prices. Q&A: Best alternative fuel source?
Dec 29th
Question by Cory: Best alternative fuel source? Since gasoline prices are going to crush the American economy, what would the best alternative fuel source? Hydrogen’s pretty cheap, you’d just get like 5 miles to the gallon. Ethanol would be a NO. That’d just lead to massive corn famines and government regulation on how much gas we could use (or else), which would be communism. Nuclear power would be very effective, but there’s always evil people who would harvest the materials for bombs. I heard fuel cells were very efficient and effective. What’s your opinion?

Question by maha a: international standard about uses of natural gas as alternative fuel?
Best answer:
Answer by joesisboomNatural gas is the way to go. It has been used as a fuel source since the late 1700′s. Since Almost every combustion engine can run on natural gas with little modification and the majority of large factory type combustion engines (CAT, Hyundai, Honda, Ford, Etc) actually have had models out that are LPG (natural gas) since the More >
Grazinglands Reduce Greenhouse Gases
Dec 27th
Lawrence, KS (Vocus) January 29, 2010
Rangeland Ecology & Management—A green pasture with grazing animals offers an idyllic image of our natural environment. With much of the current focus on climate change, such a pasture has much more to offer than image. Through effective policy implementation, grazinglands can reduce greenhouse gases through carbon sequestration and emissions reductions offset credits.
Carbon sequestration is the long-term storage of carbon in the ground or oceans, slowing the buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere enters the soil of grazinglands through the natural process of photosynthesis by green plants. The More >
