you need to get 1st-gen DDR ram. Your motherboard should support up-to DDR333.

Memory
• Two DDR 184-pin 2.5V DIMM Sockets (DDR266/333)
• Maximum: 2GB
So – DDR ram (not DDR2)
Will take any size up to 1Gb in each slot

What kind of computer is all this stuff in? Dell? HP? eMachine?? That’s what will tell you what kind of RAM will be most compatible. If the motherboard is not the original, then you would be best to ask a computer technician.

The fastest way to match the memory, is to open the computer & pull a stick of RAM the info will be on a sticker. Once you have the RAM type go here to order.

Here’s a 2Gb kit for your computer, when you get them (it’s 2 sticks of memory 1GB each) you’ll wana take any memory you have in the computer out and replace them with this memory. also if your MB dose not look anything like the second link disregard this post.
