Energy…..we “are” energy!….:-)?
Question by : Energy…..we “are” energy!….:-)?
I find it very tremendously interesting how everything in the universe, even us, and all matter is all pretty much made up of energy, condensed and compact, fully palpable and tangible energy, to me thats awesome, it truly does change your whole outlook on life and everything that exists. Even Albert einstein explained his famous theory, E=mc2, meaning that (E) energy= (m) mass times (c) speed of light (2) squared, or times itself again……and a full understanding on this is that if we ‘humans’ were to go in some type of propulsion machine that had the ability to jet us out at the speed of light, 299,792,458 meters/sec X the speed of light again, 299,792,458 meters/sec, that our bodies would turn into pure energy, pure raw energy…inside us, we have more energy than the energy given off from the largest atomic/nuclear bomb ever set off or dropped by humans, all thats fascinating to me. Einstein even explained that energy is never created, never destroyed, but only transformed, changed to another state. Scientists even explain to us today that we ‘humans’ even have the same stuff inside us that everything else in the universe has, we are literally made up of the same composition as the universe is….let me give you an example: When our sun was created out of nuclear fusion of remnants of dusts and gases left over from the big bang and/or previous supernovas before it, that explosion created what we see as the planets today, and everything in our solar system, everything we see in our solar system are remnants and left over, gathered debris from the creation of the sun. Humans are connected to each other biologically, for we consist of the same things, same material, geneogically speaking, humans are connected to the Earth chemically, for we derive from its substances, the first life form was made from our ocean’s waters, slowly evolving to what we are today, branches of the original source, and we are connected to the universe atomically, meaning that humans are made up of the same atomic materials, deep down inside us, as what the universe is made up of. If the nature of the universe created the sun, and the sun created the planets, and our planet created us, that means that we are internally ‘of ‘ the universe…..of the stars, of the planets, of everything we see through telescopes, etc…that is absolutely amazing to me, i find that moving actually, it is entirely fascinating when you look at things like that. Who else finds this to be very cool? you never looked at things like that, huh?lol. These are all documentations of the great Albert Einstein, and of some other present day scientists, astronomers, physicist etc……what do you guys think?
most of my sources of where i found this information was from the show “The Universe” on the History channel, sorry, but i wish i knew the episode as well, lol.

i vote yes.

The late Nobel-prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman (and, yes, the Nobel prize in physics, at least for now, still means something) observed that there are many different units of “energy” that come out of multiple ways of measuring it or calculating it and that WE STILL DON’T REALLY KNOW just what “energy” is. So THAT is cool – that we still don’t know what this rather “simple” concept is – LOTS still to be figured out!

It is indeed very cool. But some minor points:
It isnt really correct to say we are ‘made of energy’. Matter and energy are the same thing. Matter isnt made of energy (like a cake is made from flour), it is energy. If you ‘reached the speed of light’ you wouldnt ‘turn into energy’. Anything with mass (i,e, matter) cant reach the speed of light anyway, so its like asking “what would 7+4+elephant be equal to”, it just nonsense.
“Einstein even explained that energy is never created, never destroyed, but only transformed, changed to another state” The concept of energy conservation had been around for ages before Einstein. What Einstein showed was the matter/energy equivalence.
“‘humans’ even have the same stuff inside us that everything else in the universe has” There is a quote that I pulled from a “A short History of Nearly Everything” that I rather like, something like this: “It is rather galling to think that if you pulled yourself appart atom by atom with a pair of tweezers, what you would be left with is a pile of atoms that had never been alive at all.”
The atoms that make up humans are no different to the atoms elsewhere in the universe. They arent even very interesting ones, with things as mundane and boring as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, and tiny bits of a few others. Of course we are “internally of the universe”, what else could we be!?
Yes it is all amazing, and very cool. More people should be aware of it too.

awesome
and think without gravity to weigh us we would be in a wave form

and what is energy but the ability to do work, and what is work but something moving and what is moving but two points going through time at different rates making greater or lesser space between them.
when you really look at it. there is nothing here at all.

I think I knew this stuff twenty years ago, and the wonder sort of wears off after a while.

Please include your source in your rants – last night’s episodes of “Universe.”

Yes, it is fascinating to think that the universe exists inside of us, while we exist inside it. Astronomy is possibly the most awe-inspiring and humbling thing you can experience.
