1 of my buddies went to school in South Dakota and stated that some people had been making use of corn oil as a substitute of standard gasoline. Apparently it’s far better for the environment and you get much better fuel mileage I believe. But you have to have a auto that uses that sort of fuel.

An Aussie traveled tens of thousands of miles in the US, in an RV, and never spent a dime on fossil fuel. His RV was powered by deep fryer grease ( vegetable oil).

Sure! It burns in diesel engines. Need to take precautions though.

I would not believe that vegetable oil would burn in a gasoline engine

It is already an alternative fuel for diesel engines. You have to do a few modifications to the fuel system because the vegetable oil can solidify at low temperatures, making it necessary to warm the oil before it will flow to the engine, but basically it will work fine.

Key word… “considered”….
Vegetable oil is by no means an adequate form of fuel. It’s true it burns cleaner, but that’s about the only good thing about it. It is very costly to produce, because it must be filtered, and settled, and only a small fraction of all vegetable oil waste is suitable for use. Basically it costs too much, and is too hard to produce on the scales that would be required.
It makes a good thesis project, but don’t expect your exhaust to smell like french fries any time soon.

I have run a diesel car on vegetable oil , needs thinning a little with diesel but car ran great, you can even use oil thats been used for cooking if you filter it first

Hey, I just saw a story on Fox news about a guy in the mid west who has invented a engine that runs on “water” Honest to God it’s true!!! That’s just tell me that the government is controlled by the oil companies and they don’t mind screwing the public for billions of dollars every year.
