You obviously must not have played CoD 4 very much because it was my favorite Call Of Duty game so far and it was better than World at War because all Treyarch did was copy CoD 4, except with different guns and perk names. sorry xjawz but i have to disagree about just “stumbling” upon cod 4 being good. They knew it would be on of the best shooter games ever. it was the first, if not one of the first modern warfare games. Don’t get me wrong, the main reason why it was so loved was because it was a good change from all the WWII games out but i have to say the game had a lot of hype.

Honestly, it’s not a terrible game. It just had a few institutions that were abused by the community. Yeah, IW did screw up as far as appeasing the fanbase goes, but the game itself was not a bad game. It was fluid, everything worked correctly (too much so, in some cases), and the gameplay is fun, fast, and exciting. I can hardly call that a terrible game.
