I find it very tremendously interesting how everything in the universe, even us, and all matter is all pretty much made up of energy, condensed and compact, fully palpable and tangible energy, to me thats awesome, it truly does change your whole outlook on

Question by Ottawa Mike: Is the climate change issue really about a push for renewable energy? Here is the scenario as I see it: We are being told to reduce CO2 emissions because they will contribute to catastrophic anthropogenic global warming. To achieve that, we are basically being told (forced?) to reduce coal and oil

power isn’t the same as energy
Wind is a manifestation of the kinetic energy in the air. Energy is force-distance, and power is force-distance over time… like a rate of energy.
Wind can be converted to electricity very easily – put a propeller on an electric generator, and the wind turns it… inside the generator there are magnets and copper coils. When a magnet goes across a copper coil, it makes electricity. The generator is basically just an electric motor working backwards (making electricity by being turned instead of turning because of the applied electricity).

well, wind power can turn turbines so i suppose u could say tht it’s a form of kinetic energy …

I was wondering the same thing, I live on a big hill and it is windy constiantly(oops spelled bad)we need a windmill.it will pay for itself in like 5 yrs.cuz once its paid for it goes back into the grid like where u live.and then the comany pays u back for that. It’s worth it I think.

wind energy is actually a resource which is categorized into renewable or non-conservative resource. wind mills are used to convert wind energy into electricity. wind mills are also used to grind wheat.

It depends on what you are studying at school.
Possible answers are renewable energy, clean energy, or kinetic energy of air molecules…
A wind tower uses an electrical machine(dynamo) to convert mechanical energy of wind into electrical energy.
