the role of information technology in modern world its merits and demerits?

It is empowering the people… and… it is empowering the people. The continuous, easy to get flow, of all manner of information is making people realize several things about themselves. No one has trusted the government in my lifetime, but today… its corruptness, the vileness of its offenses and how it effects us personally every day… is now undeniable. The fact that no matter how bizzare our individual problems might be, we all know now that there are at least thousands of other people out there that are or have been experiencing the exact same things that we are. Therefore, individually, we are not alone. Catholic or not, we are all angered by the sexual problems within the church. We feel like our own government is making a fool out of us. We are depressed by the fact that our own national oil companies are price gouging us, just because they can. The digital age is stirring up things in this generation and our children, that our parents were able to “not act upon” because they were powerless. In today’s digital age, a free blog space can be more powerful than millions of dollars of prime time advertising. It is empowering us. But are we mature enough, as a society, to handle the responsibility of having a voice. If you said “bomb North Korea!”, then your answer is NO. The next few decades will be difficult and dangerous for us. We must use our new found voices to bring an opposing positive light to the sins of our past… and make a living future.
