Question by huckleberryjay: Can anyone explain the alternative fuel and new technology part of the stimulus bill?
OK, I know that this will allot for jobs for many sceintists researchers and technology professionals the problem is I don’t really see scientist and researchers in unemployment lines.
To steal a point form Obama’s visit to Indiana yesterday… how is alternative fuel and new technology bail out money going to provide jobs to the thousands of laid off workers in Elkhart IN? Are the many blue collar workers and retail workers that are flooding the unemployment offices? Are you seeing the disconnect? I’m not trying to be overly critical but do you see the obvious crack in this thing?
Blueberry, sweetie, I am not not insupport of Obama, I voted for him but I will not do what republicans did when bush was in power and just write the guy a blank check because of his party affiliation. He needs to SLOW DOWN! The fact of the matter is that the point you made is a good point but the timing is bad. Gas prices and all of that crap has very little to do with putting unemployed low skilled labor back to work and that is the point of what we are trying to do. There will be a time for energy issues, the time is just not now!

No,,,,, but this will expand government, and UNION jobs only.

When universities get big grants to provide specific research, then those universities give the result the government wants.

And then we have another crisis that only government can solve.
