Question by Miles: Is the University of Central Florida cancelling their Information or Information System Technology program(s)?
At the moment i’m attending Seminole Community College and im currently taking classes to transfer to UCF’s Computer Science degree program. But recently i’ve considered changing my major to either Information Technolgy or Information Systems Technology. The problem is that i’ve heard that UCF may be cancelling one or both of those programs and I was just wondering if anyone knew if this true or not.

I would definitely write / email the Registrar’s office of UCF. This sounds like one of those “could be true” rumors. Could be, because of all the outsourcing of IT professional positions. If in fact UCF is cancelling, you need to concentrate your efforts on the really bad politicians handling immigration reform.
