Question by Explorer: How is SAP as a career.?
I am right now a Web Technologies developer for 7 months now. I want to switch to SAP. Is that a better option? I heard the salary for SAP professional is much greater than others. Kindly advice a better career path. Thanks in advance.

SAP is a huge package in itself. Several categories are in it like, HR, Finance, Development(ABAP),ERP etc. But it makes a very good career.. U should decide what specialisaion to take in SAP..

SAP is Enterprise Resource Planning software. It does accounting and a whole heck of a lot more. Lots of huge companies use it. A future in SAP is pretty bright, I’d say.

I understand the interest to go into SAP, however thefact remains the feild of SAP is so huge, so wide, i cant possible explain it, look at their website, there are amny websites that are out there, the better one would be the officail webite, and one more thing, most SAP guys get the big Bucks only after a few years of Work Experience, my brother has about 8 underhis belt and gets paid aobut $ 220 per hour…when he started he was getting paid about $ 30 an hour…..see what i mean!!!
