Question by Raymond M: Trying to enroll in Radiologic Technology Program to become a X-ray technician. Where do I start?
I’ve looked into Maric College and Chaffey. I know Loma Linda also has a program but my prbolem is that I only have around 30 college units. None geared towards Radiologic Technology. I’m looking for a career change and this seems to be a passion for me. I need guidance to try and get this stuff done quickly and not over a 2 year span. Any help would be nice

Places like University of Phoenix, Maric College (North Hollywood campus), some community colleges, Western Career College will have certification courses for X-Ray Tech. It’s a good field. Training would take about 6 months on average, depending on how you schedule classes. Many schools that offer medical assisting will also have x-ray classes. It’s also a field where you can get a certificate, then get a job, and work towards higher degrees.

Congratulations on your decision to start a good career in health care. Best of luck to you.
