Q&A: hydrogen fuel car set ups?

Question by Jimmy J.: hydrogen fuel car set ups?
I have been doing some research on kits you can buy to make your car run on both gas and hydrogen. It seems pretty simple and almost too easy. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this kind of thing?

Keep in mind I don’t want to power a whole car. I just want to know if those kits will increase my mpg.

or some other kit like these ones.

HHO or disassociated water atoms are sketchy at best. There is promise. Hydrogen will run an engine using a compressed cylinder but is short lived. Fuel cells are another way of doing the job. look all of this up on You tube

SCAM alert. This is a 50 year old scam. There is a group of people that offered $ 1,000,000 for anyone that can prove you can get better mileage in a controlled experiment, not a TESTIMONIAL. google “HHO aardvark”.
To top it off, the FTC is going after promoters of this stuff.

Save your money as it is a scam to make money. It sounds good but I am 78 years old and heard this all my life but I have never saw one that works.

It’s a con, and yes I can prove it. Post an edit and I’ll show you what it can’t and won’t work.

Due the laws of Thermodynamics, the energy obtained from the gas of this process does not exceed the energy needed to obtain it. Therefore, HHO gas is only useful as a fuel additive for hybrid purposes – as the required energy is provided by the friction of the already present gasoline combustion. HHO gas provides a more efficient way to re-use this extra friction and increase mileage by reducing the amount of gasoline required for the same HP ratio.
HHO hybriding has been reported to function exceptionally well on several news stories and testimonies from actual users. It should be noted however that good results tend to group with older vehicles that do not have any or many oxygen sensors present. Because HHO includes additional Oxygen, a vehicle’s oxygen sensors will detect the additional oxygen and usually increase the gasoline to oxygen mixture to prevent running too lean.
Although there are manual ways to adjust these sensors and lessen the complication, the best results in Miles Per Gallon are generally reported from users with vehicles before the mid 90’s.
If you have the time, I recommend constructing your own Hydrogen on Demand generator and trying it out. It is a rather simple process and can be greatly rewarding if your vehicle is one of the sucess stories.
