Well, this kind of technology made our lives easier, but is the small scale engineering going to lead a bigger scale inventions to increase the effectiveness?

Theoretically, you could use nanotechnology to build automotive components to more exacting tolerances or size…thereby reducing weight or friction which could improve fuel economy, acceleration, deceleration, handling and speed. The art of engineering is not building something which is bulky or heavy or exceedingly strong…any idiot can do that,,,,the goal is to build something to the minimum requirements within cost considerations without sacrificing strength or performance.
