Question by Justin: How much debt is the United States in? How can we get out of it?
I know we are around 13 trillion dollars in debt. But, I want to know, how can we get out of it? How long will it take? Also, when we do get out of it, what will we invest into? Will it be technology, immigration, energy, education, etc. Why are we in so much debt?

13 trillion is the actual debt, the unfunded debt is 135 trillion. That means there is no way in hell we can pay for all the crap Uncle Sugar gave us to buy Lemming votes.

The only way to get out of debt is to collect more money than you spend. For the US Government it means collecting more in taxes than they spend.
You can either do that by reducing government spending or increasing taxes; both are politically difficult.

13 TRILLION DEBT WHICH IS GROWING BY ABOUT 1 TRILLION A YEAR AND 135 TRILLION IN UNFUNDED LIABILITIES.
ONLY WITH MASSIVE CUTS IN GOVERNMENT SPENDING INCLUDING THE ELIMINATION OF ALL ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS WILL EVEN COME CLOSE TO SOLVING THIS PROBLEM
