This sounds AMAZING, after reading it do you think this is a real possibility and how many jobs world wide could it create? Since the U.S. Government funded the initial research wouldn’t it strengthen the country economically and as well as make the

I find it very tremendously interesting how everything in the universe, even us, and all matter is all pretty much made up of energy, condensed and compact, fully palpable and tangible energy, to me thats awesome, it truly does change your whole outlook on

Question by bob d: questions about atomic energy? I’m wondering about multiple things. atomic questions———————————- 1.When it comes to atomic energy,it seams like the media demonizes atomic energy,is that true? 2.Did the Chernobyl incident “happen” due to the disabled safety features? 3.Did the power plant had a containment “dome”,like all power-plants today? 4.Why does the

Nobody said it would be easy, especially when the oil industry is doing everything in their power to derail that effort.

Pickens pointed out the problem: we need a better power grid with transmission lines linked to new power generating locations.
Luckily, this is in the works.

Pickens obviously pissed someone in the Texas state govt. off because they wouldn’t assist him in getting the electrical distribution network in place to transmit the power from the wind farm to the main distribution point.
I’m sure he could have found a way around the problem if he wanted.

In Obama’s mind, 2 billion is chump change. he’ll need at least a trillion to get this working by 2020.

Ask the Danes..
Danish wind industry has created 20,000 jobs in Denmark.

You have to make other fuels darn near impossible to afford. You have to punish those who want other systems. Pickens also spent millions on a Football stadium in Stillwater to support his mediocre team. He’s not that astute

It was the location he picked. He can spend 2 billion on the turbines, but wanted someone else to pay the 500 million to get the transmission lines installed.

We’ve only spent $2 billion?
We spend that much in a week in Iraq.
Obviously, more R&D is needed.

You define “success” as using guns and badges to suck untold resources OUT of the economy to support an industry physically incapable of meeting its own expenses.
China is coal-powered.
“The oil industry” is heavily invested in wind and are the chief lobbyists for federal subsidies of it.
Pickens proved he doesn’t think it’s economically viable.
In Obama’s mind, wind power is an important part of his plan to FORCE energy costs to “necessarily skyrocket.”
According to the Danish, wind industry has created 20,000 jobs by sucking about 30,000 other ones out of existence.

Apparently T Boone is not so smart as everyone thought he was. Imagine planning a wind farm out in the middle of no where without first figuring out how you are going to transmit the power to somewhere. Hope he doesn’t choke on the 2 billion worth of wind mills he bought. Too bad, too. He also lost a bundle on his oil stocks–a lot more than 2 billion. Must be tough being rich.
