I have an assignment in my Information System Fundamentals, here it is:
Find a description in a computer, internet or business magazine of an information system used by an organization. Look for information about the company on the Web to gain further insight into the company and prepare a brief description of the business. Describe the system you have selected in terms of its inputs, processes and outputs, and in terms of its organization, management, and technology features and the importance of the system to the company. Be ready to present your analysis to the class.
-My Problem is that I don’t really understand what is an Information System, my idea about IS is that it is a software or programs used by the organization to make their operation easier, faster, and secure. Is that write? Please help, or can you give me an example for my assignment.

YES.

You need to check your spelling and grammar too – Write = Write a letter
Right = Right or Wrong.

The Information Systems you would be writting about would be Oracle Enterprise Database and SAP Customer Relationship Management systems and probably Windows Server

That is what big enterprise companies with 50,000+ employees use. Google them or look them up on Wikipedia
