What are your thoughts of HR 4502?
“To strengthen the capacity of eligible institutions to provide instruction in nanotechnology.”

I’ve stated on this site that the government is going to hit some fundamental changes due to a rapid technological growth, and scientific discoveries. This is but one field that is rapidly developing, such technologies could result in machinery within the body traversing the blood vessels in less than fifty years.
This gives you some insight into just one of the fields of technological growth, there are multiple others. AI for example, we have built multiple apps that simulate how our brain functions, such as facial recognition. We have developed an entire neocortical column through a network of computers, using the human brain as a model. Through this model, we could glimpse at images interfaced to it.
With advancements in AI, robotics, genetics, nano technology, occurring at a phenomenal level where do you see our country in the next fifty years, when humans are easily out performed by machines? Do you think that a world government is inevitable? Last question, do you think capitalism can survive?

Such a world is degrading to humans
Who would possibly want to live under a one world government?

I hate to say it but it makes Teminator look like a prophetic statement.

Ultimately it will be the capitalists who will develop, produce, distribute, proliferate and profit from these technological advancements just like capitalists did with information age technology. It’s why America has tons of personal computers and Cuba is just made a big deal about getting their people new rice cookers.

Sometimes technology can go a little too far. If machines take over productivity of humans, then we’ll be a huge welfare state which can only be run by one super power. It depends which country will employ robots over people. The country that doesn’t use the technology will be the Super Power because people will be making money. So, if this country is China, then no, capitalism won’t survive. If it’s the U.S. then capitalism will be alive and well.

With great technological and scientific advancements comes great risks. There are always some who will benefit while others fall victims to the same discovery.
