Web Technology for a Recruitment website?
What do you think the best database driven technology to use for a user profile website is? Example: A recruitment website (a real small scale of careebuilder or something) where jobs can be posted, users can create a profile, and upload resumes and CMS were site owner can control the site add content, etc. Also looking to see if there are any available templates for the design. I am a developer and there are multiple options…familiar with Joomla, XOOMP, php/mysql, Rails, etc but looking for the best all round package for both the development of, and ease of use CMS for the site owner…Thanks

Personally, I use CakePHP for most of my development… but I’m a PHP junkie and I don’t like using a pre-built CMS if it’s something that’s going to have to be heavily customized anyway (kind of a control freak, yeah).
It kind of depends on how much actual coding you want to do. Are you looking to build a CMS from the ground up, or are you looking to install something out of the box and make it do what you need it to do?
